Row 17: *knit 4, knit 2 together, continue from * on until end of row, ending knit 2 (17 stitches)

Row 19: *knit 3, knit 2 together, continue from * on until end of row, ending knit 2 (14 stitches)

Row 21: Knit 2 together 7 times, 7 stitches

Finishing: Break off yarn and thread it through the live stitches. Sew up side seam. If desired, cut a 1” by 1” (or smaller) piece of cardboard and make a pon pom for the top of the hat. I used eyelash yarn here, which was kind of a messy experiment. If you want the eyelash look, it might be better to work it in around the bottom on the hat.
